Automotive LED Lighting Company EOI Increases Capacities in the U.S. to Avoid Tariff and Improve Efficiency

Taiwanese LED auto lamps manufacturer Excellence Optoelectronics Inc (EOI) is expanding its production capacities in Michigan which will introduce automated production lines and design department. The new capacities are expected to start functioning by the end of 2019.

76 percent of the company’s revenue came from the North American market in 2017 and orders for auto lamp modules and components have continuously increased. The capacity expansion in the U.S. not only helps the company to avoid tariffs, it also reduces the cost of transportation, packaging and storage.

EOI indicated that it will develop fine pitch Mini LED display for automotive applications including dashboard, headlights and larger sized LED displays. In addition, the company will use its patent automotive lighting module technology to widen its product portfolio to meet the needs of the automotive lighting market.
