Mini LED backlight displays are entering the end market since the end of 2018 when LED manufacturers began shipping their products. According to WitsView, a research division of Trendforce, Mini LED backlighting has significantly lowered the cost of display modules used in 65-inch 4K TVs with increase in die bonding efficiency and the decrease in Mini LED chip cost. This is expected to accelerate the widespread adoption of Mini LED.
