The LED industry has entered the developmental fast lane and the future looks bright, said Dr. Pan Wenbo, Director of Guangzhou Guangya Messe Frankfurt. The LED industry in China has been one of the fastest regions to develop, with a total of around 10,000 manufacturers currently. Over the next five years, huge competition within the market will whittle down the number of manufacturers by 30 to 50 percent as the market reshuffles. Currently, revenue from LEDs counts for around 30 percent of the entire lighting market in China, grossing RMB 350 billion. Pan estimates this number to increase to RMB 450 billion in the near future.

The show will take place from June 9-12 with over 21 halls being utilized across 225,000 square meters of exhibition place. In addition, there will be several concurrent event programs organizes as the “Light-plus” series of events  which will feature over 120 various sessions. Focus will be placed on market penetration, technology development, design, as well as networking.

Attendees can be sure to find product solutions covering the entire lighting industry supply chain, but also a wealth of developments in lighting technology and innovative design.
