Macroblock to Ship Mini LED Display Driver IC for PID and Mobile Phone in 2019

With the market of Mini LED display thriving in the second half of 2018, LED driver IC company Macroblock has been preparing its technologies and capacities for Mini LED displays.

The company has showcased its driver IC for Mini LED at Touch Taiwan 2018. Though it has reported that the trade war between the U.S. and China has impacted its business, Macroblock has increased the shipment of high-margin products for fine-pitch displays, Mini LED displays and automotive applications and its revenue may be lifted by the niche products.

Macroblock has also reportedly worked with Chinese mobile phone producers to launch Mini LED backlight panel for smartphone in the first half of 2019. The products for Mini LED PIC will be produced in volume next year as well.

As for Micro LED, Macroblock has continued to develop related technologies and has set up the schedule of production in 2020.
