Stouch Lighting Completes Campus LED Lighting Retrofit for Neumann University

Stouch Lighting, a lighting distributor specializing in LED lighting and energy efficient lighting products, two days ago announced the completion of Campus LED lighting retrofit project for Neumann University, which was finished in less than two months.

The LED lighting retrofit project was carried out to reduce the University’s annual energy costs by 63%—cutting Neumann’s energy bill by more than $22,000 annually. Furthermore, because of LED fixtures’ longer rated lifetime in hours before needing replacement, the University will be saving another estimated $22,000 annually in maintenance costs.

The LED lighting retrofit provides a more consistent and more evenly illuminated lighting environment throughout the campus adding to the overall security of university students. Included in the retrofit was the replacement of the existing exterior lighting on both the East Campus and the West Campus involving all parking lot areas, walk pathways and exterior building-related lighting such as flood lights and wall packs.

Neumann’s Director of Maintenance and Operations, Joe Crowe, remarked, “Stouch Lighting did a remarkable job in developing a thorough proposal that showed us the ROI for the project. Stouch Lighting’s best-solution approach to the project that objectively evaluates a range of lighting manufacturers’ products and their advantages and disadvantages, made us feel very comfortable with their final recommendation and our ultimate decision.”
