With Color Preference technology added to LED luminaires, installers can use an integrated switch to select the preferred color of white light from a range of correlated color temperature (CCT) settings.

Eva Chan, CEO of Elec-Tech and ETi, commented, “As a company, we choose to invest in the development of new technology and new product innovation. We are proud that we’ve been able to develop yet another patented product feature that delivers real benefit in the competitive LED lighting market and that we intend to protect from competitive infringement.”

In August, Elec-Tech was ordered by the Superior Court of the State of California to compensate Lumileds US$66 million for misappropriating trade secrets from Lumileds. In response to the judge, Elec-Tech claimed that the company never took any technology from Lumileds and will appeal the verdict.
