LG Innotek Files Patent Infringement Suit against Evergreat Inc.

LG Innotek announced that the company has filed a lawsuit against Evergreat, a U.S. based UV nail dryer manufacturer, for patent infringement. The lawsuit alleges that Evergreat used LG Innotek's LED chip technology patents in all of its 10 UV nail dryer models without its permission.

According to LG Innoteck, the company has sent warning letters to Evergreat asking it to stop unauthorized use of the patents since January. But as Evergreat did not respond, LG Innoteck filed lawsuits with the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California and the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California on July 25th.

LG Innotek requested the courts to ban the sales and manufacturing of the UV nail dryers and asked Evergreat to compensate the damages for the Korean company. This is the first time LG Innotek has filed a patent lawsuit regarding its UV LED products.
