In view of the news that the panel manufacturers have lowered the predicated value of annual shipments, Lextar said that it has not heard of the news up to now that the backlighting customers intend to adjust orders, and Lextar has developed a direct LED TV backlighting and high definition 4K2K TV product technology, which is expected to be significantly fermented in the second half of this year. Lextar will remain stable growth in its LED backlight business in this year.

In terms of the mobile devices, Lextar stated that the revenue of mobile phone and tablet backlighting products in last year only took up less than 10% of the total revenue of backlighting devices, but as Lextar developed a new backlight technology and accessed to the new Chinese non-brand customer's supply chain, the current sales of mobile phone and tablet backlighting products accounts for 10%. It is believed that the sales of mobile phone and tablet backlighting products will continue to grow in the second half of this year.

The total revenues of Lextar in last year was 10.052 billion NTD, LED backlighting and illumination took up 70% and 30% respectively. The legal person of Lextar expressed that Lextar will still consider the LED backlighting as its most important business. In addition to the newly developed LED TV backlight technology and products, Lextar also has attracted new Chinese customers since it was formally incorporated into Wellypower in February of this year, which also is helpful to the growth in the overall revenue. It is expected that the backlight revenue of Lextar will increase 2%-3% over last year.
