Using a simple soda bottle, the LED light is attached to the bottle cap, which consists of a CIGS photovoltaic panel and rechargeable batteries. After charging up in the sun for seven to eight hours, the 120-lumen light can run for eight hours under full brightness, or 40 hours on dimmer settings.

Suttener is in preliminary talks with Coca Cola to deliver the light to those in need.
