Lighting Science announced  the launching of its Glimpse Indirect Recessed Retrofit luminaire, a one-to-one LED replacement designed for installation into six-inch downlight cans using an E26 base.

The Glimpse Indirect Recessed Retrofit fixture allows for a reduction in materials used to create an improved beam spread. The hidden LEDs provide the equivalent output to a 65-watt halogen lamp with the spread of a bulged reflector. An aluminum reflective dome allows for thermal management with a clean aesthetic.

“We developed the Glimpse Indirect Recessed LED Retrofit fixture for customers who want a different lighting effect from a standard downlight, but desire a cleaner, elegant look,” said Sean Tegart, Vice President of Lighting Science. “The Glimpse Indirect Recess luminaire quickly and easily transforms spaces while giving our consumers the greatest flexibility.”

To enable complete control and greater energy savings, Glimpse Indirect is dimmable and as simple to install as screwing in a light bulb. A special feature of the Glimpse Indirect is its unique ability to be surface mounted as a light fixture, making it ideal for commercial retrofit or new construction applications as well as making it compliant with California's Title 24 Residential Code.
