Smart iPhone Battery Case Design with High-Concept Bump

France based Twelve Monkeys Company has launched what they call the “first smart battery-case” for the iPhone. The iPhone case called The Feeling Skin is unique in that it does not require the user to manually switch the battery case, but instead is able to detect when the battery is running low and automatically start to recharge the battery.

The case is not only a battery charger however. An LED light is equipped on the back of the case to alert the user when messages and mail are received and any other activities.

“Phones become smart, but smartphone accessories remained ‘dumb’, said Rémy Koné, one of the founders of Twelve Monkneys Company in an interview with Tech Crunch. Kone continued that the company wanted to create The Feeling Skin so that smartphone accessories can be both smart and social.

The case is currently for sale at US $49 on the company’s kickstarter project. They have already reached half of their goal of US $40,000 with 20 more days to go.
