Lextar Released New LED Luminaire Series at TILS 2013

Lextar Electronics Corp. (“Lextar” or the “Company) (TAIEX: 3698) is displaying a series of LED energy-saving luminaires such as its troffer, panel light, skyline and desk lamp at the Taiwan International Lighting Show (TILS 2013).

LED luminaires are expected to be a driving force in the LED lighting market, as the penetration rate for LED lighting fixtures is continuing to increase. In order to meet expected demand in the market, Lextar has come up with its new Troffer, which uses Lextar’s LM-80 certified LED package and possesses good efficiency of 100 lm/W. The technology also has low glare (UGR<19) and is suitable for offices, meeting rooms, schools and libraries. Additionally, Troffer also comes equipped with emergency lighting functions, which allows the technology to turn on automatically and sustain for approximately two hours upon power outages.

Lextar is also showcasing two plate lights that are aimed at the midrange and high-end markets for use in either direct-lit LED backlighting or edge-lit LED backlighting applications. The direct-type back lights use specialized diffusion plate technology that feature low glare (UGR<19) as well as an even and warm light spread, and have an increased lm/$ by 45%, making the technology applicable for offices, libraries and stores. Lextar also focused more on the design of the edge-lit backlighting technology and gave it a thickness of 1.4cm coupled with a simplified surrounding plastic frame, making the technology suitable for enhanced interior textures on suspended installations.

Lextar is also showcasing its highly acclaimed Skyline LED bracket lamp, which also sports a simplified yet elegant style and is suitable for suspended installations. The technology’s large emission angle makes it suitable for general lighting as well as many other applications.
