ERP Power Launches LED driver with Computer Controlled Dimming™

LED driver producer, ERP Power LLC (ERP), reported its development of the world’s smallest programmable drivers with Computer Controlled Dimming™ technology.

With the new patent-pending Computer Controlled Dimming, the compatibility scores of ERP Power PHB Series can improve from 90% to 98+%, which means it will significantly reduce flicker, shimmer and ripple. Compared with other LED drivers providing dimming performance at 20, 40, 60, 80, 100% output, the new PHB Series delivers programmable 1% TRIAC dimming granularity with startup and sustained operation at 1%. This feature allows lighting designers and architects to sophisticatedly control the precise scene depending on the requirement of different environments.

The newly developed power electronic design of ERP is available with 30W, 40W, 50W models and will be available for sampling in 4Q18. By 1Q19, ERP Power distributors will process shipment in the Americas region.

Michael Archer, CTO of ERP Power, said,“ERP Power has flipped the control model. Rather than the dimmer controlling the driver, the driver is controlling the dimmer.”
