Seaborough Introduces Universal Plug and Play LED Tube Solution

Seaborough Research BV, one of the R&D companies of the Seaborough Group, introduces the world’s first, universally interchangeable, LED tube solution to retrofit legacy fluorescent TL lamps. The revolutionary oneTLed electronic circuittechnologyprovides compatibility with every type of driver, electronic or magnetic, and can be incorporated in all linear LED products. The oneTLed solves all the retrofit incompatibility problems found with LED tubes currently on the market, which are sometimes even unsafe to use with drivers found in existing luminaires. Notably the oneTLed solution offers a payback well within one year. Tubes containing the oneTLed solution are not only a green, but also a clean alternative to environmentally unfriendly fluorescent TL lamps that still contain hazardous mercury and consume significantly more energy. Seaborough has made the oneTLed solution available for licensing by LED tube manufacturers around the world.

By simply replacing old fluorescent TL lamps with a LED tube that contains the oneTLed solution, the long-standing promise of drastic energy and cost savings by retrofit LED tubes can finally be fulfilled. The consequences of having fully compatible retrofits are significant. Adding the oneTLed solution will turn all new LED tubes into compatible, sustainable and safe retrofit products that allow for up to 60% energy savings. Retrofitting the estimated 12 billion fluorescent TL lamps globally using the oneTLed solution will not only help accelerate LED replacement, but more importantly, it will significantly help accelerate potential energy savings which equate, for the US and EU alone, to the total power output of about 100 medium-sized coal-burning power plants.

The oneTLed solution is inexpensive, uses proven components, is energy efficient and delivers an extended lifetime of more than 8 years for all components, significantly reducing waste streams. The oneTLed is a safe solution, which does not require re-wiring or replacement of drivers and other components in existing luminaires. The oneTLed solution can be integrated in a range of tube sizes and types (T8, T10 and T12), and has an unparalleled compatibility with electronic and electromagnetic ballasts.

The oneTLed solution was developed in the Seaborough labs by its own engineers in cooperation with leading LED experts and researchers. The dedicated, multi-million development and testing program delivered the oneTLed solution, a technology that has all the hallmarks to become the retrofit LED tube industry standard. “For years, the absence of a fully compatible, affordable, and safe LED tube has seriously hampered the replacement of legacy fluorescent TL lamps and all associated electricity savings” says Seaborough CEO, Paul van Doorn. “With Seaborough’s plug & play oneTLed we offer a solution that creates instant LED tube compatibility for the billions of existing sockets worldwide. Fluorescent TL lamps with their heavy ecological footprint can now be a thing of the past.”.
