Hubbell Lighting Improves Output of LED Area Lighting Solutions

Hubbell Lighting, a global leader in lighting innovation, announced today a 20 percent lighting output improvement for two popular LED area lighting solutions, the Beacon Products Viper and Spaulding Lighting Cimarron.

Effective immediately, the lumen performance and product efficacy for both the Beacon Viper (VP-L) and the Spaulding Cimarron (CL1) 4000K and 5000K CCT LED luminaires will increase 20 percent compared to previously published specs. The highest output configurations will now deliver more than 30,000 lumens, making them more effective than any other solution currently being offered to customers for high mounting height applications.

"We've built a solid reputation for being a provider of high quality products and services that address our customer's lighting needs," said Jeff McClow, area and site product manager for Hubbell Lighting. "But we’re still asking our customers how we can improve, and in area lighting they noted trends for decreasing the amount of poles and fixtures needed to meet specification. In addition to financial benefits, we see opportunity for improved architectural and aesthetic appeal of the landscape."

In a Cimarron CL1 90L 5K layout comparing the old and new LED outputs, the upgraded Cimarron was able to reduce the number of poles and fixtures while still meeting the specification, reducing the initial and maintenance costs and lowering energy consumption.

Both Beacon Products and Spaulding Lighting are offering the improved performance on the Viper and Cimarron at current price and energy output levels.
