The fourth Lumiere festival closed on 15th November at 11pm. First estimates put the number of visitors at around 200,000 attending the festival over four nights. The festival is produced by Artichoke and commissioned by Durham County Council with additional support from Arts Council England and a raft of sponsors.

The TV series is being made by BBC Cymru Wales Drama in partnership with The Weinstein Company and BBC Worldwide/Lookout Point. During filming in Russia, local production company Globus Film Studio took the decision to install over 1,200 Verbatim LED retrofit lamps to create appropriate lighting when shooting important scenes such as those in a historic ballroom.

As one of the biggest hotel brands in the world, Marriott International needed a headquarters to match the scale of its reputation and place in the hospitality industry. The Marriott International Headquarters was built in 1979 in Bethesda, Maryland. The 74,322 m2 (800,000 ft2) office building provides workspace for 3,000 employees daily. The lobby of this building was somewhat insignificant, small, and unattractive and needed an upgrade that would make the lobby more spacious, and add character and an inviting atmosphere where employees, designers, engineers, and potential business partners pass through daily.

Viewed from afar, Suzhou International Expo Center is like being enveloped by the bright moonlight, wearing a gorgeous silver-white silk skirt, with OSRAM’s lighting solution. Located in the central area of Suzhou Industrial Park, Suzhou International Expo Center occupies an area of 188,600 square meters where all kinds of mega events, such as national and international exhibitions, conferences and celebrations, are held.

The new headquarters of this designer luminaire manufacturers has a floor area of around 2500 square metres and accommodates a large showroom and generous meeting rooms and offices in addition to storerooms and social areas. Production facilities, warehousing, the dispatch centre, laboratories and workshops are also located at the new site. The lighting in the entire building is state of the-art with regard to technology, visual comfort and energy efficiency. Long-life LED light sources are used together with the connecDIM light management system with which the artificial lighting is regulated according to the amount of available daylight, creating the ideal conditions with optimum energy efficiency based on demand.

     It’s the first LED screen project with irregular space in China, and said to be the largest LED creative ceiling curtain in the world. The whole LED ceiling curtain is composed of 11 leaf-shaped parts, each of which is divided into three different triangles with symmetrical distributions taken on a shape of fish maw. It is as long as 340 meters and its broadest side reaches 55 meters and its height is approximately 20 meters. It covers a total area of more than 8000 square meters.

The newly designed intermediate storey of the Marienplatz subway and metro station in Munich, Germany was inaugurated this Monday. The concept drawn up by the architects Allmann Sattler Wappner and the lighting designer Ingo Maurer gives the subterranean mezzanine a bright, clearly arranged and customer-friendly appearance following a construction period of three and a half years. Up to 200,000 passengers enter this traffic node daily, following modernisation by the Munich municipal authorities (SWM) and the Munich transport company (MVG). An essential element of the design is the orange-red light ceiling installed in the central ticket hall, where more than 1,000 Osram light lines have been installed for illumination.

The iconic landmark will synchronize its world-famous LED tower lights to spooky Halloween hits, broadcast on iHeartMedia's powerhouse radio stations Z100 and 103.5 KTU and via the iHeartRadio app at 6:45 p.m. and 10.pm. on Saturday, October 31, 2015. Renowned lighting designer Marc Brickman will choreograph the display to a soundtrack including fan favorites from previous Halloween shows as well as new additions "Disturbia" by Rihanna, "E.T." by Katy Perry and The Addams Family theme song.
