The epic center is located at 9 kilometers north to Pohang City, North Gyeongsang Province. Its depth was about 9 kilometers deep. Visionox Signs a High Volume Order with Orbotech for OLED Flexible End-to-End AOI Solutions in YUNGU's new OLED Gen 6 Fab

Orbotech Ltd., a global supplier of yield-enhancing and process-enabling solutions for the manufacture of electronics products, announced that its end-to-end automated optical inspection (AOI) solutions have been selected by YUNGU (Gu'an) Technology Co., LTD for its new flexible OLED Gen 6 fab. The project execution is supported by Visionox, a Chinese flat panel display (FPD) manufacturer. The deal includes a large number of Orbotech AOI systems for TFT (thin-film transistor) Array and OLED-related layers for inspection and classification. The new Gen 6 fab is located in Gu'an Hebei, China. Delivery is expected at the beginning of 2018.

Sumitomo Chemical Develops New OLED Printing Technology to Halve Panel Production Cost

Sumitomo Chemical, the Japan-based chemical giant, is reported to have successfully developed new technologies to facilitate more cost efficient OLED display manufacture. According to Nikkei, the new materials and equipment the company introduced could possibly bring down the current production cost of OLED panels by 50%, which is able to further reduce the selling prices of OLED TVs and expand the penetration of OLED products.

Sharp Reported to Develop 8K Digital Broadcasting System With ASTRODESIGN

Samsung at this year’s CES officially changed the name of its high-end TV lineup from “SUHD” to “QLED,” thus creating market interest on the development of the Quantum Dot (QD) display. WitsView, a division of market intelligence firm TrendForce, expects TV sets with self-emitting QD displays will arrive on the market after 2020 because of technological hurdles and environmental problems related to the recycling of the QD material.
