Larson Electronics LED Drop Light Outperforms 100 Watt Incandescent Hand Lamps

Larson Electronics have released an explosion proof LED drop light that provides higher performance and safer operation than traditional incandescent drop lights. This Explosion Proof LED Drop Light is UL certified and provides 10 times the output of incandescent lamps.
“While incandescent hand lamps can generate enough heat to burn operators that bump into the light, the LED explosion proof hand lamps generally don’t get above the ambient temperature of the area.“

The Larson Electronics EHL-LED-7W-100-1523 explosion proof LED drop light is a powerful worklight that provides a highly effective alternative to fragile incandescent drop lights. This handheld LED droplight features aluminum and steel construction, rubber bumper guard, 10 watt LED bulb, 100 feet of SOOW cord, and a twist lock explosion proof plug. This LED work light produces more lumens per watt than a 100 watt incandescent, and produces bright white light with better contrasting and color quality. Unlike the yellowish illumination produced by incandescent bulbs, the output from this lamp is clean white, giving it better detail rendering, contrasting, and color reproducing qualities. This LED lamp won’t shatter or break, and the LED design means after hours of operation, the lamp will be only slightly warm to the touch, eliminating accidental burns common with incandescent drop lights. The lamp housing features an aluminum lamp cage, and an integral aluminum hook provides easy hanging for hands free use. The explosion proof twist lock plug must be used with twist lock receptacles in order to maintain hazardous location compliance and provides a safe and secure connection when within hazardous locations. The EHL-LED-7W-100-1523 explosion proof LED drop light is Class 1, Division 1 & 2, Class 2, Division 1 & 2 certified, and an excellent alternative to fragile and hot running incandescent drop lights.

“Our explosion proof LED hand lamps and drop lights create a safer, lower maintenance environment for our military, industrial and petrochemical operators,” said Rob Bresnahan with Larson Electronics’ Magnalight.com. “While incandescent hand lamps can generate enough heat to burn operators that bump into the light, the LED explosion proof hand lamps generally don’t get above the ambient temperature of the area.“
