Cree Launches New Cost-effective Color LED Lighting Device

Cree launched a new cost-effective LED, namely XLampXP-E2 color LED. Compared with other high-power color LEDs, this new product can improve the maximum light output up to 88% to help lighting manufacturers to achieve more cost-effective solutions in architectural lighting, automotive lighting, display lighting and other applications.

Cree XLampXP-E2-color LED is developed on the basis of the new-generation LED platform with Cree innovative SC technology, compared with the previous generation of XP-E color LED, it can achieve higher Value of lm / W and lm / $, it brings lower system costs for existing lighting design of the based-XP-E color LED.

It is reported that XLampXP-E2-color LED also uses XP package size (3.45mmx3.45mm); it can be compatible with the optical design based on the previous generation XP-E color LED, providing immediate and effective performance, shortening design cycles of lighting products and accelerating the speed of listing.

Under the conditions with maximum drive current, Cree's new product can offer the highest output of 109lm blue lights, 253lm green lights, 203lm amber lights, 193lm red-orange lights and 155lm red lights. Sample of new color LED is available now, and it can be put into mass production in accordance with the normal delivery cycle.
