LED Guitar Pick to Come into Market for the Successful Fundraiser Raised Almost $35000

In line with reports, Peter Holm and Brandon Williams, the Firefly Pick creators, are wrapping up their fundraiser for an LED flashing guitar pick that creates a rhythmic light show synchronized to music as it is being played. The duo launched the campaign on July 10th, and has currently raised almost $35000 from supporters who want to see the pick make it to market in return for a Firefly Pick of their own.

The project reached its goal more than a week early, and if the project raises another $10000, the team promises to revamp the circuit board one last time to make room for a super high efficiency pure white LED. They’ll still have the red/green/blue LEDs to provide color, but the additional white LED will greatly amplify the maximum brightness. And they’re able to do all of this without a reduction in battery life or increase in size.

“White LEDs are incredibly efficient,” says Firefly Pick co-creator Brandon Williams, “and we realized we could blend it in with most colors to save power.”

The Firefly Pick’s Kickstarter campaign offers a series of compelling rewards to backers which will not be available after August 14th. The Firefly Pick is normally priced at $49, but a few 4-pack and 10-pack bundles are available at a discounted rate of $30 per pick. With four versions and nine colors available, there are dozens of combinations to customize each of the Firefly Picks in a bundle. The highest level of reward is an offer to promote a backer’s personal music or band using the Firefly Pick’s social networks, in addition to 10 Firefly Picks.

Those wishing to take advantage of the project’s exclusive rewards have a variety of options when it comes to their Firefly Pick rewards; backers can choose from the Firefly Pick Original, Duo, Air and Insanity. The Firefly Pick Original flashes quickly and precisely to a wide range of playing motion while ignoring unrelated movements. This version is the most rhythmic option and the most well rounded Firefly Pick. The Firefly Pick Air flashes in response to hand motion as well as playing action, so it works on any body rhythm even without a guitar. This version is fun even for non-guitarists, but is also ideal for slower tempos, drawn out finishes and tracking whammy bar motion. The Firefly Pick Duo flashes one color of the player’s choice on the up stroke, and a different color of the player’s choice on the down stroke. And last is the Firefly Pick Insanity, which flashes one color of the player’s choice on the up stroke, and a random color on each down stroke. All four versions come in any of the nine LED light colors.
