Apple is expected to give its iPad Pro lineup a major overhaul soon, with new models possibly arriving next month. Reports suggest that Apple will introduce its new iPad Pro next month with major upgrades from its predecessor, including a bigger OLED screen, an M3 chip, and a new Magic keyboard among the accessories and more.

According to a recent report by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, the tipster reveals that Apple will give its biggest-ever refresh in years and that it might be the first Apple tablet to feature an OLED screen that will offer better brightness and more accurate and crisper colours than its predecessor, with plans to launch it in March 2024.

In his report, Gurman notes that Apple will launch the new iPad Pro models this year with three major changes: OLED screens, a new Magic Keyboard, and the M3 chip.

Apple iPad Pro with OLED screens
Reportedly, The new iPad Pro models will feature OLED screens for the first time, replacing the LCD and mini-LED screens used by the previous generations. This screen upgrade will offer better contrast and black levels.

Along with the screen the report also suggests that Apple will give its iPad Air 6 some substantial upgrades like a 12.9-inches screen compared to the iPad Air 2022's 10.9-inch display. The 12.9-inch iPad Pro might also get a slight size bump to 13 inches.

Apple iPad Pro with M3 chip
Along with design and screen, the new iPad Pro models are also expected to become more powerful with its latest in-house developed M3 chip, which will be the next generation of Apple's custom silicon for Macs and iPads. The M3 chip will probably offer faster CPU and GPU performance, as well as better battery life and neural engine capabilities.

Gurman also hinted that the iPad Air 6 will be getting some substantial upgrades like a 12.9-inches screen compared to the iPad Air 2022's 10.9-inch display.

Apple iPad Pro with new Magic Keyboard
Along with the iPad Pro upgrade, Apple is also reportedly planning to give the new Magic Keyboard a more durable and premium design, with an aluminium frame instead of a fabric cover. The new Keyboard will also make the iPad Pro look more like a laptop, possibly with a larger trackpad and more ports. Additionally, Apple is rumoured to be working on a new Apple Pencil with Find My support and interchangeable tips.

Interestingly, Apple did not reveal any new iPads in 2023, marking the first time the Cupertino-based tech giant skipped updating the iPad since its debut more than a decade ago. So the new lineup of iPad Pro will definitely get big upgrades. It will be fascinating to see what Apple finally releases in its launch.
