MLS Lighting Flexes Its Muscles at LEDforum

The LED industry is shifting. With competition increasing, falling prices, and continued developing in technology, LEDs are quickly surpassing incandescent and other forms of lighting, securing a stronghold in the industry. Among the many manufacturers in the lighting industry rushing to secure a position for themselves, MLS Lighting is one that has come out on top this year.

China based LED manufacturer MLS Lighting has experienced exponential growth over the past few years, raising its position to one of the world’s largest LED manufacturers this year, surprising many competitors with their rapid increase in delivery orders. Already a supply chain in the China LED market, MLS’s steady position comes from the company’s strength in ability to control cost, a key to staying afloat in the increasingly competitive market.

The company was invited to attend this year’s LEDforum 2013 hosted by LEDinside, subsidiary of Trendforce Corporation. This was the first time the company participated in the forum, showing that the company is a rising competitor to watch out for. Chief Technical Officer Elvis Zhang represented the company at the conference, sharing the company’s latest developments and future plans.

The company has set its sights to the US market, said Zhang, and is actively pursuing cooperation with US market dealers and channels. The company hopes that through cooperation with the US market, florescent light shipment volume to the US will soar in 2014. The company estimates 3Q14 production capacity to increase to 20 billion with monthly shipments for florescent light reaching 2 million and 2.5 million for LED bulbs. The target for 2014 is to increase monthly shipment volume by 20 million for both florescent lighting and bulbs. The company hopes to increase revenue from RMB 3 billion (US $492 million) to RMB 10 billion in 2016.

Zhang concluded his presentation with the phrase “change a lamp, save the world.” The company firmly believes that LED lighting will not only save energy, but also ultimately save the environment, making the world a better and healthier place for future generations.
