Wearable LED Bike Signal Lights Useeme Launches Indiegogo Crowdfund Project

A revolutionary new gear can make urban biking a lot safer all around the world – it only needs a little push from the international cycling community. Useeme is a motion controlled LED wristband that is turned on automatically by standard cycling hand signals. The inventor is a Hungarian cyclist who brought the idea to life together with his family and now they turn to crowdfunding to start serial production. Their campaign on Indiegogo ends on August 9, 2014 and 200 people can still claim a perk to test the gadget before the official launch.

The wearable turn signal wristband, Useeme, designed with 11 flashing bright orange LEDs and switched on by lifting one’s arm, is a smart and safe novelty for cycling communities all around the world.

Useeme is as simple and smart as it can be: putting on the wristbands while riding a bike and making the usual hand signals (required by law in most countries), the gestures will be visible from all directions as the orange LEDs automatically turn on and start flashing. Cycling will be safer on the roads and accidents can be avoided as drivers will clearly see which direction the cyclist is turning.

Useeme does not require the change of your riding habits: without smartphone apps, pushing buttons or clasping switches, only by raising your arm to the left or to the right, you can make the smart gear work. The sleek wristband continuously adapts to your hand position on any handlebar, and as it has no buckles, it is very easy to put on and take off.

If you like this invention and are wondering how to purchase Usemee, visit their Indiegogo page and become a supporter. Supporters will be the first to get the turn signal wristbands as the first 2000 pieces are only available on Indiegogo to pre-order at a moderate price. 200 lucky supporters can be even more involved in the development: they can become product testers for a small extra contribution before the product becomes available for cyclists globally.

If the crowdfunding campaign (ending 09.08.2014.) is successful, a greater batch will be produced in August for public testing and serial production will be launched in October. Pre-orders can be placed now at a special introductory price, visit Useeme’s campaign page for details: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/useeme-bicycle-turn-signals-stay-safe-while-sharing-the-road/
