The city of Lawrence will invest over $172,000 to replace 115 lights with LEDs, as part of its overall goal to improve the quality of life for the community. It’s said that Samsung LED has decided to team up with Japan’s Sumitomo Chemical to build a sapphire ingot plant in Daegu.
