Tekcore Co., Ltd., Genesis Photonics Inc., and Lextar Electronics Corp. launched over NT$11.3 billion expansion plans, which came from syndicated loans. Among the loan, Genesis received NT$1.5 billion from 12 banks, Tekcore secured a loan of NT$1.8 billion with Chang Hwa Bank, and 8 banks agreed to lend NT$8 billion to Lextar.
To deal with the demands for LED TV backlights and LED billboards, Genesis will start to add MOCVD machines at its second factory in the Southern Taiwan Science Park in July. It schedules to increase MOCVD machines to 53 systems, boosting total output to 130,000 wafers a month in the long run.
