Epistar schedules to align with Delta

Epistar is scheduling to align with Delta. The alliance will contain product development and will probably have an LED chip production facility built in China.

According to Epistar Sources, it is still being awaited for agreement from the board of directors, and until the board meeting at Epistar in August ,a final confirmation on this move will be made.

Sources at Delta pointed out that Delta Electronics already has a plant for its LED lighting Devices in Dongguan, South China, and so this area will be a preferred location to be a base for the joint venture that they are entering into.

This alliance signifies Epistar’s intentions to make further inroads into the LED lighting device arena and secure order commitment from an important customer. The group currently announces 290 MOCVD machines, and is also second in the global chipmaker positioning – having a 17 per cent of the total market share.
