Philips’ SpeedStar LED Road Lighting Luminaire Received 2011 Red Dot Design Award

Reportedly, Philips’ SpeedStar LED road lighting luminaire has received the 2011 red dot design award under the product design category.

Designed as a carbon-neutral lighting solution, SpeedStar LED road lighting luminaire enables the creation of more livable urban environment.

With an easy replaceable compact flat LED engine, it’s capable of providing the flexibility of a modular system, resulting in bright, functional road lighting.

Additionally, it instills an easy-to-upgrade LEDGINE, which can be connected to lighting regulation systems for further energy savings. Furthermore, it also helps to minimise the environmental impact and incorporates a stylistic approach to appeal to architects and urban planners.

It’s said that 17 Philips projects were involved in the ‘red dot award: product design 2011’.
