Promoting Downtown Buckhannon by Streetscape Project

The city of Buckhannon wants to light up its downtown and it hopes will attract more visitors to downtown Buckhannon.

The streetscape lighting project will outline every building from the Upshur County Courthouse to Buckhannon City Hall.

At a cost of $18,000, the LED lights are capable of producing 255 different colors and its programmable by a small computer to illuminate any color.

Street lamps, along with lighting and decorations for the Christmas holiday will also line Main Street Buckhannon. Create Buckhannon is offering sponsored decorations for $50.
