Chinese BOE and IRICO Announce to Tap into LED Lighting Market

Recently, Chinese two major display manufacturers BOE and IRICO tap into LED lighting market.

BOE Technology Group Co., Ltd.
, a famous supplier of display products and solutions in China, has announced the release of new Organic EL lighting and LED lighting. The company has determined to enter into household lighting market with "Warm" and "Comfort", "Quiet", "Humanity" concept to untilize LED technology to create a comfortable space.

In addition, IRICO, dedicated in LCD monitor, PDP and organic EL display business, also kicks off its business in LED lighting. Initially, the company has invested 180 million yuan RMB to set up 21 automatic LED packing production lines which are engaged in manufacturing surface mount product. Among them, 60% of the new product is used for LCD backlight, and 20% used for lighting. The company expects to increase its LED packing capacity to 150000 per month in the next three years.
