Having initially introduced its Micro LED display Crystal LED for use in commercial and entertainment venues, Sony began to offer residential configurations and installation of its Micro LED display module. The company provided some samples for residential configuration including 4K size with 72 units for a 220-inch display, 8K size with 288 units for 440-inch. Or, if 8K is not enough, with 576 units of Crystal LED module, a 16K display will be available.

According to Sony, Crystal LED delivers HDR with brightness of 1,000 nits, 10-bit grayscale, 140% of sRGB color gamut, 180 degree viewing angle, 120-Hz refresh rate and 3D content.

However, premium home Micro LED installation costs a fortune. Each Crystal LED module, sized 403.2 x 453.6 x 100 mm, reportedly costs US$10,000, which is about the same price of a high-end OLED TV. To build a 4K screen will take US$720,000 and US$5.76 million for 16K.
