Lighting Science Sponsors Solar Decathlon 2011

Lighting Science Group will sponsor support the U.S. Department of Energy's Solar Decathlon 2011, which demands the 20 participating collage teams to bring out their own designs to construct and control the solar-powered houses that need to be attractive and should generate solar energy efficiently and cost-effectively.

The winner will be the team that presents an appealing, affordable with distinctive design to generate maximum power with utmost efficiency.

According to Zach Gibler, Lighting Science Group’s chairman and chief executive officer, the event will witness team participation from all over the world and they will have an occasion to further improve the efficiency of the house by utilizing high-performing, cost-effective and efficient LED products.
