Radiant reported financial results for 3Q10

Radiant Opto-Electronics pure income for 3Q of 2010 was NT$668 million (US$21.72 million) with an EPS of NT$1.57, and consolidated revenues for 3Q were NT$12.36 billion, with gross profits of NT$1.1 billion, and NT$704 million in operating income.From 1Q until 3Q in 2010, consolidated revenues in Radiant totaled NT$34.62 billion, operating income was NT$2 billion, and net profit reached NT$1.75 billion with an EPS of NT$4.11.

In Radiant's total revenues, Samsung Electronics, LG Display (LGD) and AU Optronics (AUO) made up about 80 per cent, Chimei Innolux (CMI), Chunghwa Picture Tubes (CPT) and HannStar Display which were in Taiwan accounted for about 10%, and the US- and Japan customer provided about 10%.

Recently, be benefit from increasing popularity of LED-backlit LCD TVs, the BLU maker had received a lot of orders for LED BLUs from Japan-based clients, such as Sharp, Funai and Sony.

Radiant expected October revenues would increase sequentially, which in November-December was expected to decrease, but overall consolidated revenues for 4Q of 2010 were expected to increase sequentially.
