Cannabis Cultivator Launches New Indoor Site in US; Fohse to Exhibit Cannabis Grow Light at MJBizCon

The legalization of medical and recreational use of cannabis in North America has opened a wide door for LED lighting in horticulture application for cannabis cultivation. An increasing number of cannabis growers and cannabis grow light suppliers are joining the market.

ecofarm from Massachusetts, U.S., announced the launch of the largest indoor cultivation sites in the country at Marijuana Business Conference (MJBizCon), the cannabis industry's most respected global trade show.

ecofarm will operate as a Tier 11 marijuana cultivator and product manufacturer in its 100,000 square foot (9290 square meters) facility. The build-out includes 55,000 square feet of cultivation space of a possible 100,000 square feet. The facility will generate over half of its electrical demand through the use of solar arrays and a combined heat and power system, implementing additional smart technologies such as LED lighting, high-efficiency HVAC systems, automated environmental controls, and a large-scale water recapture system to be 70% more energy-efficient than traditional indoor cultivation operations.

Cannabis grow light supplier FOHSE also reported its exhibition at MJBizCon. The company will showcase its LED cannabis grow lighting product line, including the first unveiled O6I 1200W model. FOHSE will also present the products that are designed for propagation and cultivation in grow tents.

The Company's updated O6i 1200W LED fixture features the exact same wattage and output as its previous iteration in a comparatively sleeker and more compact form factor, allowing for more flexible installation options in greenhouse facilities. The latest iteration also features support for wireless control hardware, which FOHSE anticipates will be particularly of interest to clients who operate larger-scale growing facilities.
