Chinese LED manufacturer Kingsun Opto has acquired a 6% stake in Lumileds, potentially becoming one of the three largest stakeholders of the former Philips LED component and automotive lighting business.

Fresh analyses from LEDinside point Chinese LED package manufacturers might head the next industry restructure wave, especially as these manufacturers scale up their production capacity.
