Smart Home Appliances
As a trailblazer in smart industrial and home automation, ams OSRAM’s advanced lighting and sensing technologies are driving the future of smart buildings. Its innovations span essential applications such as access authentication, reliable panel controls and presence sensing—bringing safety, convenience and intelligence to homes. A new optical force sensing demonstrator will show how controls on electric devices can be transformed, thus becoming more sensitive, multimodal, reliable, hygienic, elegant, and cost-effective. Buttons become invisible and can be seamlessly integrated into clean and sleek designs without any limitation on surface material choice. Surface panels using optical force sensing interfaces are highly reliable due to their functionality in difficult situations such as dirt, water and gloves. With their ultra compact design and precise sensing, they can be easily integrated into almost any surface without adding design complexity and space constraints.
Robotics and Automation for Industrial and Consumer
Revolutionize the world of robotics and automatic guided vehicles with next-generation 3D sensing technology. The company’s sensors, infrared LEDs and lasers, illuminators, and drivers allow designers to choose the perfect solution to meet their needs. Featured in the booth will be the latest multi-zone, direct Time-of-Flight (dTOF) sensor. Building on our portfolio of award-winning dToF sensors, this new device will provide more than 20 times the number of pixels as previous multi-zone devices, while maintaining low power operation in a compact, all-in-one module.
The company will also present a joint demonstration with Teknique, a partner specializing in vision products. The demo illustrates ready-to-use camera solutions that combine Ambarella’s high-performance vision processors with ams OSRAM’s advanced image sensor technologies, infrared LEDs and VCSEL technology. Applications include a pre-integrated camera sensor board for 2D/3D Active Stereo and Structured Light imaging that can be used in Robotics SLAM, face authentication in security applications, and more.
Display Management and Camera Enhancements
ams OSRAM leverages its extensive expertise and innovation in light sensor technology to deliver industry-leading solutions for groundbreaking ambient light, true color sensing, and precise distance detection. These advanced solutions are ideal for displays, cameras and wearables, ensuring natural color performance in any lighting environment. The TCS3530 True Color Sensor, which closely mimics the human eye's response to visible light, was selected as a finalist in the Best Imaging & Optical Sensing Solution category at Sensors Converge 2025 and will be showcased in the company’s booth 1347.
