Elec-Tech schedules to order MOCVD from Veeco and Aixtron

Two wholly-owned subsidiaries from Shenzhen-listed Elec-Tech International schedules to order 130 sets of MOCVD tools and accessories fromVeeco and Aixtron at US $337.5 million.

Wuhu based Elec-Tech Optoelectronic Science and Technology will order 70  MOCVD reactors and accessories from Veeco and 30 from Aixtron. Elec-Tech Optoelectronic, based in Yangzhou will order 30 MOCVD tools from Veeco.

The firm started to cooperate with South Korea's Epivalley this year to produce LED epitaxy and chips. The total investments include 100 sets of MOCVD devices, and ownership of patents for global sale.

The Yangzhou and Wuhu city governments will offer CNY 8 million to CNY 10 million subsidy to each MOCVD device bought by local enterprises.
