[News] RoboSense and Segway Navimow Are Scaling Boundary-Free Lawn Robotics

News Source:

RoboSense and Segway Navimow, a Segway-Ninebot subsidiary, are scaling a new generation of boundary-free outdoor robotics.
The global robotic mower market is entering a new phase of accelerated growth as intelligent outdoor automation moves further into mainstream adoption.
Industry forecasts project the market to maintain double-digit annual growth over the coming years, driven by increasing demand for autonomous operation, wire-free deployment, and smarter environmental interaction.
As digital LiDAR moving into broader commercialization, RoboSense and Navimow are helping advance a new generation of outdoor robotics systems capable of operating more intelligently across real-world environments worldwide.

RoboSense E1R Brings Digital LiDAR to Outdoor Robotics
As robotic mower systems continue evolving toward greater autonomy, perception technologies are becoming increasingly important for enabling reliable outdoor navigation across complex real-world environments.
At the core of the platforms is RoboSense E1R, a fully solid-state digital LiDAR built specifically for robotics applications.
E1R combines a 120° × 90° ultra-wide field of view with 144-channel high-resolution perception capability, enabling robotic systems to perform precise localization, mapping, obstacle detection, and autonomous navigation.
Powered by RoboSense’s proprietary SPAD-SoC digital architecture and 2D VCSEL technology, the sensor maintains stable perception performance across uneven terrain, strong sunlight, rain, and other challenging outdoor conditions.

Digital Perception Is Redefining Outdoor Autonomy
Earlier this year, Navimow introduced three robotic mower platforms powered by RoboSense fully solid-state digital LiDAR technology.
The lineup includes the Navimow H2 Series for more complex garden environments, alongside the Navimow i2 LiDAR and Navimow i2 LiDAR Pro, which support centimeter-level mapping and navigation across residential and commercial lawn care scenarios.
Rather than relying on traditional boundary wires, the platforms use real-time environmental perception and intelligent positioning to navigate more naturally across outdoor terrain.

Scaling the Next Generation of Intelligent Lawn Care
At Navimow’s 1 millionth robotic mower rollout ceremony in April in Changzhou, China, RoboSense was named Navimow's "2026-2027 Strategic Partner", recognizing the expanding collaboration between the two companies in intelligent outdoor robotics.
RoboSense also received Navimow’s "2025–2026 Outstanding Supplier Award" for its digital LiDAR technology, automotive-grade product reliability, and scalable mass-production delivery capabilities.
