San’an Opto Receives RMB 124 Mil. Subsidy for MOCVD Purchase

China’s largest LED chip maker San’an Opto lately announced it has received a RMB 124 million subsidy from the Xiamen Torch Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone Administration Committee for its purchase of MOCVD systems.

San’an Opto’s project in the Torch HIDZ mainly focuses on the development and manufacture of LED epi-wafers. According to the agreement the LED giant signed with the committee, the funding will cover the purchase of 30 4-inch MOCVD systems.
