UVD Robots is a Danish company established from a project between Odense University Hospital and Blue Robotics with their development of an UV-disinfection robot providing automated disinfection solutions in 2014. The collaboration further turned into a product launch in 2018. The self-driving disinfection robot is now used in more than 40 countries in Europe, the U.S. and Asia.

The product will be fighting coronavirus in hospitals across all Chinese provinces. “With this agreement, more than 2,000 hospitals will now have the opportunity to ensure effective disinfection, protecting both their patients and staff,” said Su Yan, CEO of Sunay Healthcare Supply, a medical equipment supplier to the Chinese market.

CEO of UVD Robots, Per Juul Nielsen, indicated, “In a severe crisis like this where the world health is threatened, our innovative technology really proves its worth.”
