Tivoli Lighting Releases Detailed LED Lighting Case Study on New Kaufman Center

Case Study describes Lighting Design project highlights of new Performing Arts Center.

Tivoli, the original innovator of linear LED solutions, has announced the release of a new case study on the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts in Kansas City, Missouri. The case study highlights the expansion of the Muriel Kauffman Theatre and touches on the subtle lighting accents of Tivoli products used throughout the venue from the hallway entry, to the main audi¬torium, to the great hall lounge and even the dressing rooms.

Safdie Architects and Lam Partners, a Boston-area architectural lighting design firm, was responsible for the project lighting design. They collaborated with a number of creative designers including Derek Porter Studio and 3form Advanced Technology Group (ATG) and 3form Light Design to design a variety of areas throughout the entire project. The case study focuses on the custom lighting installation required to illuminate the venue’s balcony facades. The paper guides readers thru the specific details and design of this unique form and how an ideal and energy efficient solution was crafted by Tivoli to backlight it.

The new case study is available for download from the Tivoli Lighting website and can be found in the “Resources” tab of the home page. As the first manufacturer to introduce indicator type LEDs into tubing, aisle and step lighting products, Tivoli, LLC continues to lead the market in emerging LED linear lighting solutions in the commercial, theatrical and specification market.
