UNISTARS Launch Extremely High CRI LEDs (CRI>98)

UNISTARS announced a new LED package solution for super high CRI (Color Rendering Index) applications in the end of 2012.  This great achievement means that LED can provide both high quality and good efficiency solution to general lighting.

UNISTARS’ extremely high CRI  LEDs not only enhances color rendering quality to over 98, but also shows good saturated red color (R9) over 90. Furthermore, the extremely high CRI (>98) products can achieve high luminous efficiency up to 100 lm/W and are ready for different CCT applications. The Venus 3535 series with CRI>98 has been successfully mass-produced with the most advanced technologies of phosphor coating and silicon lens formation.

Through the unique and patented Cu submount technology, UNISTARS has successfully provided the best heat dissipation solution for high power LED package with excellent thermal conductivity (~380W/mK), >50% enhancement compared to AlN (~170W/mK) submount. The thermal resistance of UNISTARS’ Venus series can achieve as low as 3.8℃/W, which is the best performance in LED package field. The ultra-low thermal resistance is a key to ensure LED emitters could have the outstanding performances of optical, reliability and life time. The Venus series has been successfully passed the LM-80 test, enabling the creation of more reliable and powerful LEDs to meet variety applications nowadays.

UNISTARS will demonstrate the applications of high CRI products (CRI>98) in the “TAIWAN INT’L LIGHTING SHOW 2013” from Mar 26th to 29th.
