The Big Ass Fan® Company recently launched the world’s first LED-equipped industrial ceiling fan, which is an all-in-one package and an ideal addition to facilities’ energy-efficient lighting programs.

The Powerfoil X LED gives out as much light as a 400W metal halide, while using less than 175W. Its tempered glass lens is designed to provide excellent optical properties which minimize glare. The light is easily installed and ties directly into an existing lighting grid for simple control.

The LED is equipped to the Powerfoil® X, which is the company’s most durable, quiet and effective ceiling fan. It generates huge volumes of gentle air movement using small motors, making it an extremely energy-efficient way to cool large areas. With the integration of the LED, the new Powerfoil X LED eliminates any need to rearrange lighting grids to avoid a shadowing effect that may occur with very large (8-ft to 24-ft diameter) ceiling fans.
