Lighting Science Unveils New Circadian Rhythm-regulating Platform and LEDs at Lightfair 2016

Lighting Science is debuting their new brand look and feel at Lightfair International in San Diego this week along with a collection of ground-breaking new solutions, casting an emblematic light on the future of this burgeoning LED brand.

Series A+™

Boasting a 97+ CRI, Series A+™LEDs perform brilliantly in any application demanding high color saturation, vivid definition or directional highlights. From commercial and retail environments to restaurants, hotels and even museums and galleries, Series A+ features state-of-the-art color rendering that can be programmed to bring out specific colors in any setting. For lighting designers everywhere, Series A+™opens up a new set of tools that give greater control over mastering the built environment.

“The Series A+™ product was designed to provide the state of the art in light delivery,” stated Lighting Science Chief Technology Officer Fred Maxik. “By utilizing next-generation LEDs, these lamps deliver astounding color accuracy and efficiency—surpassing any current industry standards. The proprietary integrated power supply was designed to amplify dimming performance and compatibility. Additionally, the precision optical design combined with an innovative but designer-friendly lamp form feature allows for a diverse range of beam angles and the unique ability to modify that beam in the field. Partnering with the engineering leaders of their respective fields ensures the Series A+™ will be on the forefront of lighting quality for discerning clients and reinforces Lighting Science’s position as a true leader in future of light.”

Genesis Dynaspectrum™

Also debuting at Lightfair is Lighting Science’s patented Genesis Dynaspectrum™, the world’s first commercially-available luminaire focused on improving the user’s health and productivity. The Genesis emits a spectrum of light that mimics daylight and twilight to regulate your body’s natural circadian rhythm 24/7. The lamp dynamically charges, with or without user interaction, between Lighting Science’s biological LED spectrums, GoodDay™ - to enhance your natural energy and focus - and GoodNight™ - to promote a healthy and restorative sleep.

The DynaSpectrum from Lighting Scoence regulate circadian rhythms and that NASA is installing a customized version on the International Space Station.

“Beware of the imitators who claim to achieve health & wellness, sleep, and productivity benefits using old fashioned ‘color temperature’ shifting methods,” says Maxik. “Our new Genesis platform and its DynaSpectrum™ light engine is the first all-in-one HealthE™ lighting solution in the world. DynaSpectrum™ allows us to deliver a biologically-optimized spectrum of light for every time of the day – on demand.”

The Genesis Dynaspectrum™ technology is so effective at regulating our circadian rhythms that NASA is installing a customized version on the International Space Station, where astronauts experience 16 sunrises and sunsets every 24 hours. The Genesis also makes for the ideal desk light or bedside table lamp. On-board sensors monitor local air quality to assist in improved breathing, allergy-relief, cognitive function and sleep. The unit comes with multiple control options, an easy, app-based color/spectrum setting, and can be switched to auto-mode to sync GoodDay™ and GoodNight™ spectrums to your local time anywhere in the world.

Maxik will be on hand to walk through the newest innovations at the Lighting Science booth on April 26 from 3-4pm. This will include a presentation of the new Genesis light and app, the Series A+ and other new additions to Lighting Science’s catalogue of proprietary lighting solutions. Maxik will also answer questions on the HealthE lighting series and their patented circadian biologically-optimized LED technology.

Lighting Science will also be showcasing their LSPro line of LEDs, which exceed most commercial specifications. This includes high-CRI MR16s, PARs, BRs, A19s and more. The new HealthE GoodDay™ troffers and T8 linears will also be on display. This technology drives enhanced productivity and focus in the workplace, classroom or at home.
