HPL(High Power Lighting) has recently launched a series of newly developed COB LED packages, the C40 (3~5W) , C70 (7~9W) and C90 (12~14W), which provide high output, efficacy and quality light that meet Energy Star Specification.
The C40, C70 and C90 were designed with HPL patented metal cooper substrate cost effective package technology, which offers not only higher light efficiency, higher thermal conductivity and excellent light quality, but also competitive price/performance.
The outstanding characteristics of the COB type LED are：
(1) the COB LEDs yield a thin consistent binning distribution within a 4-step MacAdam ellipse area.
(2) a typical efficacy of 90lm/W up to 110lm/W.
(3) a typical CRI(Ra) >80. The reduced binning space will free many luminaire manufacturers from binning process that creates a consistency in the application CCT performance. The other advantages of the COB type LED are its wide view angle 160°, which is important for retrofit bulb and downlight application, and the narrowed Vf bin, which gives a consistent and stable power rating for the LED application.
In order to simplify design and minimize cost for LED luminaire manufacturing, HPL has also delivered C70/C90 110V/220V high voltage (HV LED) application solution with the COB type LED that minimizes driver requirements making it an ideal solution for space constrained and cost sensitive retrofit bulbs and luminaires.
The new COB LEDs are perfectly suitable for interior commercial lighting, such as LED bulbs, spotlights with optical reflector, down lights and so on.
Collimators in various viewing angle 25°/35°/55° for spot light applications are available.
