The ALTLED 46W panel light is a sleek panel light which emits beautifully distributed light without glare. The product is equipped with premium aluminum thermal management which quickly dissipates unneeded heat generated from the chipset. The product adopts side-lighting type backlight module as opposed to the conventional direct-lighting type backlight module, which may be brighter but a lot thicker and provides uneven area light source, creating unwanted dark spots.

Side-lighting type backlight module has the advantages of small thickness and can provide uniform lighting. But the challenge is to evenly distribute the light across the panel. If done without care, the light will be stronger in some areas over others, which will create an unaesthetic lighting effect. ALT utilizes optics diffuser and reflector theories to develop techniques to achieve the desired lighting effect.

For this new and improved panel light, ALT has partnered with Lumileds and Osram for efficiency, quality and durability. The panel light has a lumen output of up to 6,000 lm in True White, but also come in Natural and Warm White.
