The II-VI Infrared Division of II-VI, a world leader in laser optics, today announced the introduction of a new line of optics designed for 10 kW classfiber and direct diode lasers.

The upconversion of photons allows for a more efficient use of light: Two photons are converted into a single photon having higher energy. Researchers at KIT now showed for the first time that the inner interfaces between surface-mounted metal-organic frameworks (SURMOFs) are suited perfectly for this purpose - they turned green light blue. (GreTai Securities Market: 3582) for approximately NT$668.2 million or US$21.0 million, pursuant to the terms of its previously announced merger agreement with Capella.
