Orion Energy Systems, Inc. announced financial results for its fiscal 2014 fourth quarter and year ended March 31, 2014. Total revenue for fiscal 2014 was US $88.6 million, compared to US $86.1 million in fiscal 2013. Total revenue for the fiscal 2014 fourth quarter declined to US $12.6 million, from US $22.3 million in the prior-year period, largely as a result of delayed lighting sales coupled with a decline in the number of solar projects under construction as Orion deemphasizes its non-core solar business.

AIXTRON SE announced revenues of EUR 43.9m for the first quarter of 2014, representing a year-on-year improvement of 9%. Capacity utilization rates at leading LED manufacturers remain at relatively high levels and demand for LEDs continues to be on the rise. Despite this, there was still no noticeable increase in investments in LED manufacturing capacity expansions in Q1/2014. 

Everlight’s LED TVs have been very successful lately, according to Infotimes. The company has received orders from new Japanese and Chinese TV clients this year and already began shipments in 1Q14. Mass production will officially start in 2Q14.
