SETI Demonstrates Deep UV AlInGaN LEDs for space qualification

Jointly with Stanford University and National Security Technologies (NSTec) of Livermore, California, Sensor Electronic Technology Inc. (SETI), has demonstrated deep ultraviolet AlInGaN LEDs set to rocket. SETI's UVTOP LEDs are a series of UV and deep-UV LEDs with peak emission wavelengths in the range of 240 - 400 nm. They incorporate AlInGaN deposited by a proprietary Migration Enhanced MOCVD process.

SETI makes breakthrough in single chip germicidal UV LED

Sensor Electronic Technology, Inc. (SETI) has shifted the power of UV LEDs operating in the germicidal wavelength range from 30 mW up to 100 mW. At present, this level of single chip performance is not yet available in SETI's production LEDs, high power UV LED lamps are available under the UVCLEAN® trademark with germicidal powers up to 50 mW.

SETI received a $475,000 award to develop all-LED water treatment

Sensor Electronic Technology, Inc.(SETI) has received a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase II award which is worth of  $475,000 from the National Science Foundation (NSF) to develop water disinfection units based on solid state deep ultraviolet LEDs. According to the SBIR program, SETI will design, develop, fabricate and demonstrate advanced all-LED water treatment units with reduced power consumption and extended reliability.

SETI teamed up with Kyma Technologies to develop deep UV LEDs and optoelectronics

US Sensor Electronic Technology Inc (SETI)has teamed up with semiconductor materials supplier Kyma Technologies to create low-defect AlGaN substrates for use in next-generation deep UV LEDs and optoelectronics. SETI used deep UV LEDs in high-power applications such as water disinfection, with the company having recently created a prototype all-LED based portable water disinfection system.

SETI cooperated with Kyma Technologies to develop low defect AlGaN substrates

Sensor Electronic Technology (SETI) has signed a Joint Development Agreement with Kyma Technologies, of Raleigh, NC, USA, aiming at developing low defect AlGaN substrates and high performance optoelectronic and electronic devices. It's reported that SETI will center its device development efforts on next generation high efficiency Deep UV LEDs on these novel substrates as it grows its markets in high power applications such as water disinfection.
