Cree revealed a new LED light bulb that boasts the same output as a 75-watt incandescent bulb while consuming about one tenth of the electricity. Currently, Las Vegas is replacing 6,600 conventional streetlight bulbs with LED fixtures. According to the City officials,the change will cut the city energy bill by $400,000 each year and reduce the city's annual electricity use by 8 million kilowatt hours.
