New Household Energy Efficiency Subsidy Expected to be Allotted to Forerunners in the TV Industry

It is still undetermined whether or not the new household energy efficiency subsidy will have an influence on the second half of the years LED TV stock movement. The market predicts that with the ending of the energy efficiency subsidy, China might issue a new household energy subsidy this October. Industry insiders believe that unlike the last energy efficiency subsidy which used the generalized preferential system, the new subsidy might use a forerunner subsidy method.

Direct Lit TVs Rushing to Increase Efficiency Levels before National Day Holidays

With China’s energy efficiency subsidy coming to a close, demand for LED backlight at the end of 2Q and beginning of 3Q slowed. The upcoming National Day holiday orders also had effect on 3Q LED backlight delivery performance. China is expected to promote another energy subsidy that will be stricter towards efficiency performance in the near future, with the possibility of drastically raising the EEI (Energy Efficiency Index) from 1.7 and 1.9. LED manufacturers have also aggressively begun placement strategies for high efficiency direct lit TVs.
